2012 Kids Day events
May
EMS and NMS goes to Bear Paw Reservoir - The trip was planned for
Bailey’s Reservoir but because of excess rain at Box Elder and
a dirt road into Baileys we went to Bear paw Res. in Beaver
Creek Park. Wow what a fishing trip . I think every kids
caught couple fish and many kids caught and released over a
dozen. We caught Smallmouth Bass , Walleye , Trout (eastern
Brook, Rainbow & cutts) and a couple perch. This was great
trip for catching fish.
These trips wouldn’t ever happen without the help of lots of
volunteers.

This has been a great year with a great group of kids!
March
"Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs" had a great day at the Maris
river below Tiber dam. Catching fish was little slow but
quality was good. We had kids from both middle schools and
Great Falls High School and Lincoln. This trip wouldn’t went
off as great if not for all the volunteers.

food & buses for the fishing Trip

This was our first of many open water fishing trips for 2012.
Hope many of you can volunteer with our fishing trips in the
future.
February
NMS - February 11th.
Well another great day on the ice. On February 11 a group of
NMS & EMS hooked on Fishing not Drugs got on the ice for a
great day ice Fishing. We went to Beaver Creek to Reservoir
start then ended up at Bear Paw Reservoir. What a nice day we
couldn’t of ordered more perfect weather. Fishing was slow at
Beaver Creek Res. But after lunch we relocated to Bear Paw
Res. which was a great decision fishing was great many trout
were caught.

NMS goes to Baileys Reservoir -
Another great day out fishing on the Ice. We were on Baileys
reservoir on Saturday. The weather was great. Sunny and 8
degrees ice was 12inches thick and all but 4 kids caught fish
Some very nice Perch were caught and a few northern. Was great
day to take 30 kids on the Ice. This trip was all about
volunteers I will attempt to thank them all:

our new sponsors that allowed us to use a new Suburban,
“Thanks Joe”. Thanks again to Great Falls Walleyes Unlimited
to providing the financial backing to Pay all expenses
incurred.
I can not say enough for the volunteers there is no way we
could show all these kids how to have a good time in the
outdoors without our volunteers they are great. We are
starting a new year and all I can say that is club has became
great because of our comminutes support.
I must always have said it takes a community to raise a child!
