2010 State Banquet

Below are a few photos of this year's Banquet in Lewistown Montana. We will have a full listing of all awards handed out and a full write up of the 2010 State Banquet.

Below is Carley Carpenter and her mother and father. She was the grand prize winner of Crooked Creek Chapters outdoor essay contest. We had 259 5th and 6th graders from central Montana send us a essay of their most memorable outdoor experience. Each School in the area is guaranteed at least one winner. All essayists receive a complimentary meal from Ruby’s 100% Montana burger restaurant. Each school winner received a $75.00 gift certificate for fishing equipment from Dons Store or Sport Center in Lewistown. We also gave out a $100.00 gift certificate to the Grand prize runner up. Being the Grand prize winner Carley received a $150.00 gift certificate, 3 tickets to our banquet, $25.00 worth of raffle tickets, and she read her essay in front of 600 people at the state convention.

Our local paper, Lewistown News Argus printed all winning essays and supplied all winners with winning certificates. This was Crooked Creek Chapters 5th year sponsoring this event. In total there was 27 school winners, and the grand prize winners.
